#Ramadan Daily: 5 things Muslims will never forget about the holy month of Ramadan
– The holy month of Ramadan is the most interesting month for Muslims
– Muslims sacrifice so much in terms of physical and financial contributions
– It is just a few days left for the month to leave for this year and come again next year
The holy month of Ramadan will always leave an indelible mark in the minds of Muslims. Muslims will always remember the morning, afternoon, evening and night acts of worship in Ramadan. They will not forget in a hurry how Ramadan reminds them of some of the five things below.
1. The draining of energy
It is not a mince meat not to eat or drink or engage in some mind-relieving activities because of Ramadan. Ramadan fast is for at least 14 hours here in Nigeria, while it is over 20 hours in some Scadinavian countries.

Ramadan is highly exhausting. But despite all these, Muslims persevere to see they fast Ramadan for a whole month.
2. The joy when it’s time to break fast
The time of Iftaar is one of the happiest moments in the life of Muslims. It is when the throats are dry and the body systems are longing for fluids to replenish the drained fluids.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon his noble soul) said there are two times a fasting Muslim is so happy. He said these are when he wants to break his fast and when he will meet Allah.
3. The never-say-die spirit in Ramadan
How can a person who fasts for 29 or 30 days still have the strength to rise late at night to perform Tahajjud? How can a person who does not eat or drink still insist on reading more than 10 chapters of the Glorious Qur’an in a day? How will someone still perform Taraweeh prayers, go to Ramadan lectures and still do his own personal works?
It is only in the month of Ramadan all these things are possible.
4. High expectation of Ramadan fast
Before Ramadan comes, a good number of Muslims think about the month. When Ramadan comes, the thought about the month increases daily. When the month of fasting is over, Muslims still talk about it. There is no month that is like this.
5. How crime and sin reduce drastically
Ramadan makes people who engage in crime, vices and sins soft pedal, even if the criminals are non-Muslims.
Committing crime is not limited to a particular religion, tribe or race. Involving in evil transcends all colours and languages. However in Ramadan, people who commit crime when there is no Ramadan are always conscious, because they will say, I am fasting, I am fasting, and run away from crime scene or even to commit it.
