Husband of Sunset Beach police chief accused of abusing wife

OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. (AP) — The husband of Sunset Beach's police chief has been accused of kidnapping and strangling his wife.

The StarNews of Wilmington (http://bit.ly/293WEog ) reports that 45-year-old Richard C. Joyner of Ocean Isle Beach was arrested Monday and charged with second-degree kidnapping and assault by strangulation.
