– He is to be remanded in custody till his bail terms are met
The former governor of Adamawa state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri was on Friday, July 1, granted bail by a Federal High Court in Abuja.
At his ruling today, Ahmed Mohammed said an accused person is innocent until otherwise proven.
He ruled that the accused person present two sureties in like sum.
The sureties are also to present property anywhere in Abuja amd title documents for the property submitted to the court registrar.
Mohammed also ruled that the accused person must submit his passport while the two sureties are to make two of their passport photographs each, available to the court.

Finitri was on Thursday, June 30, remanded in prison after hearing on a bail application filed by his counsel Mahmud Magaji.
He was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a five-count charge bordering on money laundering and criminal abuse of public office.
The EFCC allaged that the former governor defrauded the Adamawa state government of N970 million and $4.8 million during his three months tenure as governor in the state.
