Wales will not only have the chance to continue their journey at Euro 2016 with a win over Belgium this week, but Chris Coleman’s side will also have the opportunity to reach uncharted waters by reaching the semi-finals of a major football tournament for the first time ever.
However, Belgium will not prove so easy to beat, with Marc Wilmots’ team steadily finding their feet in France following an opening loss to Italy.
Eden Hazard was the architect of the Red Devils’ 4-0 thrashing of Hungary, and Coleman is likely to ask his men to try and stifle the Chelsea star if they want to beat Belgium – as they did in qualifying last year.
The match ended 1-1 after 120 minutes but Jakub Blaszczykowski lost his spot kick to give the Cristiano Ronaldo side an advantage.
Ricardo Quaresma converted Portugal’s final spot-kick to shoot his side to the semis.
Wales and Belgium will slug it out tonight in Lille and the Belgian captain Eden Hazard said he knows the city very well.
“The further we get the opposition will become tougher. We are lucky enough to play in Lille. I know the city very well – if not the stadium as I didn’t play there – so I will be very proud.

“Wales are a tricky side to play against, we met them in the qualification games. We didn’t have many chances, they have a very compact unit and a great player up front. We will study them well,” he raved.
