Witnesses say customer shot bank robber in Spokane Valley

(AP) — Spokane County sheriff's deputies are searching for a bank robber who witnesses say was shot by a customer during an attempted heist of a credit union in the Spokane Valley.

Sheriff's spokesman Mark Gregory says witnesses told officers that a customer shot the robber in the upper chest or shoulder, and the robber fled.
