Grand Junction airport could lose baggage scanner

(AP) — Officials say a plan to move a baggage-screening unit out of Grand Junction Regional Airport could hamper efforts to attract new flights.

Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Dianne Schwenke says losing a scanner would not only diminish expansion hopes but hinder the ability to move passengers efficiently through the ticketing process when the airport is crowded.
