Four-time NPFL champions, Kano Pillars produced an astonishing and eye catching performance on Sunday, July 10, as they defeated visiting Lobi Stars 3-0 at the Kofarmata Stadium in Kano, in an NPFL Week 26 duel.

The hosts went ahead early in the first minute when Adamu Mohammed headed in Gambo Mohammed’s excellent cross.
Midfield maestro Rabiu Ali made to two for the Sai Masugida in the 31st minute before Alimi Jamiu sealed the victory for Kano Pillars in the 88th minute.
Shooting Stars 2-1 Nasarawa United
Fans of Shooting Stars of Ibadan were in joyous mood on Sunday, July 10, as their boys came from a goal down to beat visiting Nasarawa United 2-1 in Ibadan.
The visitors opened scoring through former ABS captain Abdulrahman Bashir in the 18th minute, and both sides went to the break with the visitors leading 1-0.
Shooting Stars came out hard in the second half, and their efforts was paid off in the 61st minute when Ebiaku restored the parity for the hosts.
Izu Joseph was the hero for Shooting Stars as he scored a late minute goal to give the hosts an incredible and deserved victory.
Plateau United 1-1 Akwa United
Akwa United made life difficult for Plateau United in Jos as they forced the hosts to a 1-1 draw.
John Kelechi got the opener for the hosts in the 49th minute, and it was in the 74th minute that Friday Ubong levelled up for the visitors to pick a valuable point.
Rivers United 1-0 Niger Tornadoes
Niger Tornadoes’ unimpressive away performance this season in the NPFL continues as they were beaten 1-0 by Rivers United.
Bernard Ovoke’s 22nd minute goal was enough for the hosts to get the three maximum points.
Ikorodu United 1-1 FC Ifeanyi Ubah
Only miracle will save Ikorodu United from relegation this season after being forced at home in the NPFL by visiting FC Ifeanyi Ubah.

The visitors even got the opener through Ismaila Gata in the 23rd minute, but United restored parity in the 55th minute through Paul Dike.
Warri Wolves 1-1 Wikki Tourists
Petite winger Idris Guda scored a superb goal for Wikki Tourists at the death as the visitors left Warri with a deserved away point.

Ewenike Achibi put the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute, and it was when the home faithfuls were expecting the final whistle that Wikki Tourists got the equalizer.
Wikki Tourists have returned to the top of the NPFL standings with 43points. Although they are tied on the same points with Enugu Rangers, the Tourists have scored more goals than the Flying Antelopes.
However, two games were decided on Saturday, July 9, El-Kanemi Warriors defeated 3-1 MFM FC 3-1 while defending champions Enyimba lost by a lone-goal to Heartland.
