Imperial Sugar packaging facility to close; 49 jobs at stake

(AP) — An Imperial Sugar Co. packaging facility is closing in September and state officials say 49 jobs will be affected.

The Louisiana Workforce Commission said on Monday that it received notice that a packaging facility in Gramercy, Louisiana, owned by Imperial Sugar will be closing at the end of September.
