Gaffigan’s S.F. stop is family-friendly

The stand-up comedian and father of five, whose “The Jim Gaffigan Show” on TV Land works as both a sitcom and a parenting support group, plays four shows this weekend at the Masonic Auditorium — including a 5 p.m. early-bird special Sunday, Aug. 7.

Forget you saw the recent Chrysler Pacifica and KFC commercials; Gaffigan offers a self-deprecating, sad but-not-too-dark look at food, parenting and his general inactivity.

The Fully Dressed tour is produced by real-life wife Jeannie Gaffigan, who deserves a standing ovation at every tour stop if her “The Jim Gaffigan Show” persona (portrayed by Ashley Williams) is even halfway accurate.
