Samsung's follow-up to the excellent Galaxy Note 5 is here, and it's called the Galaxy Note 7.

Yes, Samsung's nomenclature for the Galaxy Note series has skipped a number, but the company hasn't skipped over any detail to make the Note 7 a winner.

All the specs that make Samsung's Galaxy Note line are present, plus it has a few popular extra features that were brought over from the Galaxy S7 line, which should put the Note 7 on your watchlist if you're on the lookout for a new phone.

This is the new Galaxy Note 7 from Samsung, and it's gorgeous.

It'll come in three different colors, including black, gold, and a new light blue option Samsung calls "coral blue," which has a metal rose gold border.

Like the Galaxy S7 Edge, the Note 7's front and back edges are curved.
