Alabama officials will consider the early release of Birmingham church bomber Thomas Blanton. The 78-year-old Ku Klux Klansman was convicted in 2001 of murdering four girls in the 1963 bombing of 16th Street Baptist Church. Family members of the victims oppose his parole.
