NAACP leaders stage sit-in of GOP office over voting rights

Media outlets report that national NAACP President Cornell William Brooks and youth division director Stephen Green were arrested Monday after protesting with local civil rights activists.

The pair refused to leave until the Republican congressman agreed to move toward restoring federal oversight of states with histories of discriminating against minority voters.
