Probe: Miami-Dade schools chief may have violated gift law

(AP) — The superintendent of one of the nation's largest school districts appears to have violated Florida's gift laws.

The Florida Commission on Ethics announced Wednesday that it found probable cause that Miami-Dade Schools Superintendent Alberto Carvalho broke the law because he accepted tickets and other gifts that were worth more than $100.
