(AP) — The Kansas Board of Regents is urging the governor and state lawmakers to restore higher education funding.
"All of us, but especially the University of Kansas and Kansas State University, received very significant reductions, and it would be tremendously beneficial to the universities if we were to get that funding returned," Gray-Little.
The regents also approved a recommendation for $20 million per year for deferred maintenance at state universities in fiscal 2018 and 2019, and $43 million in fiscal 2018 for a proposed dental school at KU Medical Center.
