49ers’ Colin Kaepernick pressed on perceived support of Fidel Castro
Colin Kaepernick had a tense conference call with the Miami media Wednesday, and the friction centered around a T-shirt the 49ers’ quarterback wore in August that featured Malcolm X and Fidel Castro, the Palm Beach Post reported.
The shirt included pictures of a meeting between Malcolm X and Castro in 1960 in Harlem.
Under Castro’s communist regime, he imprisoned or put to death many of his political enemies.
Outside linebacker Eli Harold (toe) was limited in practice, but was moving better than he did Tuesday when he was clearly hobbled.
Outside linebacker Aaron Lynch, who sustained a high ankle sprain Oct. 23, is still limping through individual drills and appears likely to miss his fourth straight game.
Cornerback Jimmie Ward, who was injured Sunday, remains in the concussion protocol and missed his second straight practice.
Bowman, who is at the team facility daily rehabbing, has declined interview requests since he was injured.
A team spokesman said Bowman plans to address the media after the regular season.
