Jimoh Ibrahim throws DEEP shade at FFK, invites friends for ‘after party’ despite Supreme Court ruling
Ousted Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for this weekend’s governorship election in Ondo state, Jimoh Ibrahim, has reacted to the Supreme Court ruling nullifying his candidacy in the poll.
The Supreme Court earlier today, struck out the interlocutory appeals filed by Ibrahim, a factional candidate of the PDP, against Eyitayo Jegede, another factional candidate.
A 5-man panel led by acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, struck out the interlocutory appeals after hearing them as insisted by Jimoh Ibrahim’s counsel Barrister Nwofor.
This means that the businessman turned politician will no longer play a part when hostilities commence on Saturday, November 26, in Ondo state.
He has however, refused to give up hope on becoming the next governor of Ondo state as he as categorically invited his friends and well-wishers to an after-party on Sunday, November 27 (a day after the election) to celebrate his victory.
Mr Ibrahim also replied former aviation minister Femi Fani-Kayode who unleashed a tirade of hurtful words at him.
FFK in a series of tweets via his Twitter handle late on Wednesday, November 23, lashed Ibrahim, describing him as ‘greedy and disgusting’ for trying to hijack the candidacy of the PDP through the back door.
In a series of tweets on his Twitter handle, the man stated that he remains a billionaire and that his father was never regarded as a traitor, neither has he ever been married more than once, nor does he have a room in Kuje prison (where FFK was during his interrogation by the EFCC).
Check out a series of tweets by the politician:
I would be demystifying myself to be trading words with Femi Fani-Kayode. Someone who will sing & dance makoosa for you if you give him food

If you know someone that know Femi Fani-Kayode help me pass this message to him; “I AM A BILLIONAIRE. I DON’T HAVE A CASE WITH EFCC.”

The court did not make a consequential order asking INEC to remove my name; so nobody can remove my name from the ballot. /1

The judgment is very vague; it is nebulous and ambiguous. INEC cannot dare to remove my name. /2

INEC will pay billions of naira in damages if it dares remove my name and replace it with another. What will it be acting on? /3 — Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim (@JimohIbrahimOFR) November 24, 2016
I’m continuing my campaign. Nobody can stop me. I’ll invite you all to the victory party on Sunday, after the election. #OndoDecides /4 — Barr. Jimoh Ibrahim (@JimohIbrahimOFR) November 24, 2016
