Four female terrorists with bomb vests killed in Nigeria’s border
- Four women crossing from Nigeria to Cameroon were killed
- The women were suspected to be terrorists possible fleeing Sambisa
Four female bombers crossing from Nigeria to Cameroon were killed by local security operatives.
Since Boko Haram terrorists were dislodged from their stronghold in Sambisa forest, there have been warnings that the terrorists are looking for new havens.

Midjiyawa Bakari who is the governor of Cameroon’s Far North region spoke with Voice of Nigeria and explained that self-defense groups saw the women crossing the border in pairs on Wednesday, January 11.
Three of the women detonated their vests killing themselves only while the fourth was gunned down by soldiers.
He applauded the army and the self-defence group for their bravery.
Issa Tchiroma who is Cameroon’s minister of communication said a joint military operation between the country and Nigeria since December 2016 has dislodged the terrorists from Goshe which was a strategic base used by the terrorists to attack civilians.

He said: “Several manufacturing units of explosive devices were destroyed. A dozen explosive devices were neutralised; training camps were dismantled; hundreds of terrorists were neutralised.
“Over 30 fighters were captured and handed over to Nigerian forces. Hundreds of hostages were freed and handed over to Nigerian forces.”
