Inauguration of Donald Trump Coverage Guide: Where to Watch and Stream
All cable and broadcast news networks are going all-in with coverage, which also marks the first inauguration since livestreaming video emerged as a significant way for Americans to consume media.
World News Tonight Anchor David Muir, “Good Morning America” Anchor Robin Roberts, Chief Global Affairs Correspondent Martha Raddatz, “Nightline” Co-anchor Byron Pitts, Chief White House Correspondent Jonathan Karl, Special Correspondent and Senior Strategic Advisor Matthew Dowd, “World News Tonight” Saturday Anchor and Senior National Correspondent Cecilia Vega, “World News Tonight” Sunday Anchor and Correspondent Tom Llamas will join Stephanopoulos throughout the day.
At 10 p.m.,20/20 will air a one-hour special to look back at the road to the White House, including interviews at various points from the campaign with then candidate Trump.
NBC’s coverage starts at 7 a.m. ET as Matt Lauer co-hosts the “Today” show live from Washington, D.C., with Al Roker, “Meet the Press” moderator and NBC News political director Chuck Todd and NBC News analyst Nicolle Wallace.
NBC News analysts Ben Ginsberg and Hugh Hewitt and NBC News presidential historian Michael Beschloss will also join the network’s coverage.
Rachel Maddow, Brian Williams, and Chris Matthews lead MSNBC’s all-day coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET, anchored from MSNBC World Headquarters in New York, with live reports from MSNBC and NBC News correspondents on the ground in Washington and beyond.
NBC News and MSNBC journalists contributing to inauguration coverage include Andrea Mitchell, Hallie Jackson, Kristen Welker, Kasie Hunt, Katy Tur, Kelly O’Donnell and Chris Jansing positioned across the Capitol complex, Al Roker, Tamron Hall, Kate Snow, Peter Alexander, and Craig Melvin along the Pennsylvania Avenue parade route, Ron Allen at the White House, Hans Nichols at the Pentagon, Jacob Soboroff on the National Mall and Stephanie Gosk, Jacob Rascon, and Cal Perry covering security and protests.
CNN’s coverage kicks off at 5 a.m. ET with “New Day” live from Washington, D.C. Wolf Blitzer, Jake Tapper, Anderson Cooper and Dana Bash will anchor the network’s coverage from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. ET before handing off to Alisyn Camerota, Chris Cuomo, Brooke Baldwin and Anderson Cooper for coverage of the Inaugural Parade live from the Parade Route on Pennsylvania Avenue.
CNN will be live from more than 15 locations in Washington, D.C. including the U.S. Capitol, The White House, National Mall, and along the Inaugural Parade route and at the Inaugural Balls and will have 25 CNN anchors, correspondents, and analysts covering the day’s events.
PBS NewsHour in partnership with Twitter will live stream special coverage of Inauguration Day 2017, anchored by managing editor Judy Woodruff, with NewsHour correspondents John Yang reporting from the steps of the U.S. Capitol and Lisa Desjardins from the National Mall.
