UPDATE 10:40 p.m. EST -- Facing a 25-point deficit, the New England Patriots scored 31 unanswered points to defeat the Atlanta Falcons, 34-28, in Super Bowl LI, in the first Super Bowl ever decided in overtime.

Running back James White scored two touchdowns including the game-winning score, while Tom Brady won a record-breaking fifth Super Bowl title.

Brady fired off 466 passing yards and two scores with one interception. The veteran quarterback earned the MVP honors.
