Michael Jordan scoffs at Warriors’ 73-win season
While in New York to help hammer out the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement, Warriors majority owner Joe Lacob had dinner with Michael Jordan.
The topic turned to Golden State’s league-record 73 wins last season, which broke the mark set by Jordan’s 1995-96 Bulls team.
Jordan, now principal owner of the Hornets, apparently wasn’t impressed by the Warriors’ feat.
During the 1996 playoffs, Chicago guard Ron Harper gifted his teammates T-shirts that read, “72-10 don’t mean a thing without the ring.”

The team has hung a commemorative banner for those 73 wins in its practice facility, and it is considering putting up another when the Chase Center opens.
