Weekend booking: California International Antiquarian Book Fair

Perhaps you’ve been looking everywhere for a leather-bound alphabet book housed in a papier-mache box shaped like a human heart.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary, the three-day fair, one of the largest of its kind, is a feast for book lovers, offering riches from around the world, including rare books, maps, photographs and posters.

Hours are 3-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, at Oakland Marriott City Center, 1001 Broadway, Oakland.
