Dale Evans has vowed to take the Lonsdale belt to Mike Towell’s grave after he’s won the British welterweight championship.

Evans forced a fifth-round stoppage when he battled Towell in an eliminator last September – and the Glaswegian later died from injuries suffered during the fight.

Evans returns in a six-round fight in Swansea on Saturday, May 13 and hopes to challenge for the British title by the end of the year.
