The State House correspondent of Channels Television, Chukwuma Onuekusi, has died.
Chairman of State House Press Corps Ubale Musa disclosed to PREMIUM TIMES that Onuekusi died on the morning of Tuesday, May 23 at a private clinic in Abuja after battling an undisclosed ailment.
NAIJ.com gathered that the deceased had been reporting for Channels since 1998.

The veteran journalist had covered successive administrations since the time of former president Olusegun Obasanjo.
Meanwhile, Senate President Bukola Saraki, has reacted to the news of Onuekusi's death.
He said: “The news of the demise of Chukwuma Onuekwusi came to me with great shock.
''He was a thoroughbred broadcast journalist whose reports always leave you wanting more.
“I believe his death has left a vacuum in the broadcast industry that cannot easily be filled.

''We can only thank God for his eventful life, contributions to national development and service to humanity. He shall be sorely missed.''
Meanwhile NAIJ.com recalls that the controversy stirred by Eric Joyce over the alleged death of President Muhammdu Buhari had continued to set social media agog.
Joyce, an ex-British parliamentarian, took to social media a few days ago announcing that Nigeria's president had passed on.
