Stanford to host NCAA baseball regional
Stanford was named a regional host in the NCAA baseball postseason, which begins Friday.
The national seeds and schedule won’t be finalized until Monday, but the No. 8 Cardinal (40-14) will host a double elimination regional that could play through next Monday.
In rowing, Cal’s women’s varsity eight placed third and the Bears finished the NCAA championships in West Windsor, N.J. Washington won the NCAA title, which was the Pac-12’s 500th national title, most of any conference.
The Stanford men’s golf team was eliminated at the NCAA championships in Sugar Grove, Ill.
Cardinal senior Maverick McNealy, playing in his final college tournament, also shot 74 and finished at 5-over.
