This is not the first time that citizens have named an animal after the Nigerian president President Muhammadu Buhari.

NAIJ.com recalls that 40-year-old Joachim Chinakwe was arraigned before a Sango Magistrate Court, Ogun state, on Monday, August 22 after he was arrested for naming his dog Buhari on August 13, 2016 at Ketere area of Sango Ota.

The charge document stated that the trader was said to have behaved himself in a manner probably to cause breach of peace by naming his of Buhari and parading same at Hausa section of Ketere market in Sango area.

Meanwhile, just hours before the Biafra Day celebrations in the south east on Tuesday, May 30, the Nigeria Police Force has reacted strongly to the reports.

NAIJ.com reported that Nigerian police issued strong warning to IPOB, MASSOB and other interest groups on their planned protests in some states of the federation.

In a press statement issued today May 26, the police vow to deal with any protester that disturbs the peace of the country.
