Reputed colleges drop cut-off after seats left empty

The second merit list for first-year junior colleges (FYJC) that was announced on Tuesday has shown some colleges in the city have dropped their cut-off percentages sharply while others have not because students are choosing colleges not just on the basis of its reputation but also because of an institution’s proximity to home and timings.
