Third annual technology DigiCamp to run from July 6 to July 16 in Dilijan
The main purpose of this event is to bring together young people engaged in information technology and create for them a motivating learning environment which may inspire them to begin their own businesses, according to the press release.
"Armenia has a great potential in the development of local markets of information technology products, however, this industry is still underdeveloped. This type of events are designed to eliminate this shortcoming, to help develop local markets, which in turn will accelerate the sector’s pace of development, " UITE deputy executive director Hayk Chobanyan said.
"Young people, as before, are in the focus of Beeline. First and foremost, we aim to support those young people who rely on their own capacities in their quest for success. I am more than confident that this year the young participants of the camp will surprise us with their ideas, and the knowledge they will gain will help them to conquer new heights in the field of entrepreneurship. Together we will make life better, ‘ ArmenTel CEO Andrei Pyatakhin is quoted as saying.
ArmenTel said authors of the best business projects will receive a variety of gifts from Beeline and the Union of Information Technology Enterprises.
ArmenTel is owned entirely by VimpelCom. It provides fixed and mobile telephony services as well as high-speed Internet.
The Union of Information Technology Enterprises of Armenia (UITE) was founded in 2000 to protect the economic interests of IT companies and promote research in the field of IT. -0-
