Allardyce tells Sunderland players: Accept my methods and we stay up
New Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has told his squad to believe in his methods.
The 60-year-old sat down with his winless squad at the Academy of Light this week and told them that signing up to his methods would give them their best chance of survival.
Sunderland fullback Billy Jones revealed: "The manager has been talking about what he expects from his players under his guidance and how he feels he can manage the team.
Sam Allardyce has told his relegation-threatened Sunderland players to follow his instructions to survive "It has proved effective in the past and he thinks it is a recipe that can work. He basically just said to us that if we follow his guidelines we will get results.
"So he has given us a bit of belief that, if we go out with the game plan he gives us and implement it correctly, we will win games and climb up the league."
