Amaechi: APC Is Paying Lip Service To Anti-Corruption War – PDP
The Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers state has said that the APC is “glorifying corruption” by its continued defence of the former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi’s ministerial nomination.
According to the chairman of the party in the state, Felix Obuah, the main opposition party’s defence of Amaechi is baseless.
He said that the only reason why the APC is allegedly supporting Amaechi’s nomination is to cover the traces of the looting he allegedly carried out while he was governor of the state, Vanguard reports.

Obuah claimed that the ex-governor almost ran the state to a halt and could not account for the huge internally generated revenue and federal allocations in his care.
He said that the APC in the state are currently in a state of shock as the Rivers people rejected the party during the April 11 governorship election.
The state PDP chairman added: “Amaechi wouldn’t in any way be an asset to President Muhammadu Buhari and lacks the integrity and morality to speak for Rivers people.”

Meanwhile, Amaechi has said that all the allegations levelled against him by his state senators were not only false but were meant to tarnish his image and to “solely irritate, embarrass and tarnish his hard-earned reputation.”
He stated that since there are pending cases at the Federal High Court, Abuja and the Court of Appeal, any action of the Senate to the contrary will be subjudice.
