At Montana Cowgirl Blog, Cowgirl writes—Gallatin GOP Invites Convicted Felon D’Souza To Keynote Fall Fundraiser:In the past week and half, Michigan gun owners have made the news for improper use of their handguns several times. First, concealed pistol license holder Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez saw a guy running out of the Auburn Hills Home Depot and load stuff in his vehicle. When a security guard came running after him. Duva-Rodriguez took the law into her own hands by pulling out her handgun and firing multiple shots at his vehicle. Police confirmed that she herself was never threatened. She’s now being charged with reckless discharge of a firearm, a misdemeanor that could result in a maximum 90 days in jail and a possible fine of up to $500.
Then, a week later, a fender bender in another metro Detroit Home Depot resulted in the owner of one of the vehicles being shot to death by the owner of the other vehicle. The perpetrator there has not been apprehended yet.
Then, yesterday, another CPL holder, Marchea McDougal, got into an argument with another person over her driving. The man then threw a drink either at her car or in her face (depending whose side of the story you believe.) When he was back in his truck, McDougal took out her handgun and fired it at his vehicle. Police later found bottles of oxymorphone, oxymorphone hydrochloride, oxycodone, diazepam, and cyclobenzaprine pills in her car. She’s being charged with assault with intent to murder, felony firearm and possession of less than 25 grams of a controlled substance. She could end up with life in prison.
More excerpts and links can be found below the orange gerrymander. The Gallatin County Republican Party has booked convicted felon and discredited author Dinesh D’Souza to headline a “spectacular” $60 per person Republican “Fall Roundup” in Bozeman on October 17.On their website, the Gallatin GOP said they were “excited and honored” to have D’Souza at their event and promise that those who attend will have a “special and exhilarating evening.” [Screenshots here and here] However, the GOPers made no mention of D’Souza’s pleading guilty to making illegal campaign contributions, nor his time in lock-up. (The group’s website promoting the event is, ironically, emblazoned handcuffs.) Just who D’Souza believes is “stealing America” is not stated, but given D’Souza’s belief that President Obama is “driven by a Third World, anti-American ideology that he got from his Kenyan father” we can assume he believes it is African Americans.
