City lab makes desal plant for Andaman and Nicobar Islands

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands will soon get low-temperature thermal desalination (LTTD) plants with technology developed by Chennai-based National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) to supply potable water to the local community.
