420 CRPF, 210 SRP companies needed for polls, says SEC

Social unrest over the Patidar reservation stir in the state has threatened the state machinery to the extent that the State Election Commission (SEC) has requested for over 600 companies of paramilitary forces for the local body elections — for the first time in two decades.
