Pandal-hoppers stump cops, Kolkata chokes on Chaturthi

The city traffic police were again caught off-guard despite knowing early on that pandal hoppers would flood the streets from Chaturthi itself. In large swathes of south and north Kolkata, cops were seen helplessly swatting in the air as bumper-to-bumper traffic honked, fretted and cursed lost appointments and missed trains.
