Filmmaker Karan Johar who is seen hosting The Traitors on Prime Video opened up about a moment when he broke down after a troll made an harsh comment about his twin kids - Roohi and Yash. In an interview, Karan revealed how one remark made him question his decision to raise his twin kids as a single parent. Karan welcomed his babies in 2017 through surrogacy.
Karan Johar REVEALS how troll comments affected his kids
In a conversation with Mojo Story, Karan spoke about the online comment that made him question his decision to raise his children as a single parent. He said, "It said, 'Do you realize you've denied your children a mother?' That broke my heart," he shared. "For the first time, I doubted myself."
He continued saying, "That morning, still reeling from the remark, he walked into his kids' room - Yash and Roohi were just five then - and asked them a question no child should have to answer: "Are you happy?" Karan said that his kids' reply to his question washed away his fears. They told him, 'Because you're our dada.' He said that it was all that he needed to hear. Karan further added that it gave him strength and he thought bring it on and say what people want, but he is proud to be their single parent.

Karan later spoke about juggling both parental roles at school events and WhatsApp groups which includes moms of kids as they discuss their daily routines. Karan said that the double whammy is that he is the only child and a single parent, as there is no partner, no sibling. He even said that his friends who are his found family stepped in to support him in his fatherhood journey. He said that his friends stood by his side at every moment and he is grateful for that. Karan is on cloud nine and shares a strong bond with his kids. Karan named his son - Yash which is a tribute to Karan's late father, the legendary producer Yash Johar, while Roohi's name was a rearrangement of his mother, Hiroo Johar's name.
Karan is seen hosting The Traitors which will have its finale on 3 July.
