CID 2: Dayanand Shetty to play a double role in the upcoming episodes? What is this case around ‘nakli’ Daya and Dr Salunkhe?

CID 2 has been the most loved show for all. In 1998, when it began, it won hearts and for 20 years it has been ruling the television industry. The show has returned with season two in 2024. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Ajay Nagrath, Aditya Srivastava, Ansha Sayed, Hrishikesh Pandey, Narendra Gupta and others returned with their iconic roles. It was a treat to see our favourite characters back. However, the second season has been full of twists and turns. The audience were first surprised when the Barboza episode came out. Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman was shown dead and Parth Samthan entered as ACP Ayushmaan. However, by the end of the episode, ACP Pradyuman returned and we also got to know the 'gaddar' of the team.

'Nakli' Daya and Dr. Salunkhe?

Dr. Salunkhe was the villain who ditched the CID team and helped Barboza. He was put in the jail and post that we saw more new entries like Janvi Chheda, Shraddha Musale and recently, Sanjay Narvekar. However, Dr. Salunkhe's case has reopened. Narendra Gupta is back in the show as Dr. Salunkhe but, he is now shown as the villain.

Now, another promo has released where we see ACP Pradyuman and the CID team asking Dr. Salunkhe for help in a case. However, we see the team discussing about the people who went to meet Dr. Salunkhe in the jail. Sachin then says that Daya went three days ago. But Abhijeet reveals Daya has been out of Mumbai since a week.

We then see Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman warning someone about Barboza and 'nakli' Daya. We then see the team waiting for Dr. Salunkhe but a murder takes place in the jail where Salunkhe is. What is the mystery behind 'nakli' Daya and Dr. Salunkhe? Is someone pretending to be Daya and Salunkhe? Is Daya playing a double role?
