Ektaa Kapoor and Smriti Irani recently visited a renowned temple in Rajasthan as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 before the show laucnh. The two were seen paying a visit at the Shreenathji Temple in Nathdwara and took blessings ahead of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi reboot. Smriti Irani to reprise Tulsi Virani role
Smriti Irani, a Union Minister and actress who managed to win hearts with her iconic role of Tulsi Virani, will be seen reprising her role. Irani officially confirmed her comeback in early July and left fans emotional. She said, "Some journeys come full circle not for nostalgia, but for purpose". The second season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi will premiere on 29 July and makers will stream a limited run of 150 episodes. Alongside Smriti, markets have roped in old stars who will reprise their roles in the reboot, including Amar Upadhyay as Mihir Virani, Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan as Karan and Nandini, Shakti Anand as Hemant Virani, and Kamalika Guha Thakurta as Gayatri Virani. Actress Barkha Bisht has also joined the cast in a new role, and as per reports, she will play the role of Amar aka Mihir Virani's love interest, in the show.
Smriti always wanted to achieve big things in life, and she became an acclaimed actress. She joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2003 and became the vice president of the Maharashtra Youth Wing in 2004. Smriti is an MP from the Amethi constituency. She won the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
Smriti made her television debut with the serial Aatish and also worked in the serial Kavita, which aired on DD Metro. But, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi gave her fame and recognition.
