He was the last member to complete his mandatory military service, marking a big day for the EXO-L, the band's fandom. They are now anticipating EXO's big comeback with a new album. Meanwhile, Sehun, who enlisted on December 21, 2023, served as a social service worker rather than doing the usual active soldier duty due to health conditions and completed his military service in 21 months. The 31-year-old's discharge marks the end of what fans call EXO's "military enlistment era." Recently, Sehun announced his return to civilian life with an update on his official Instagram story. Sharing a photo of his dog Vivi, and another click inside the recording studio, he hinted that EXO is already working on their upcoming full-group comeback.

What is EXO PLAN (IT)?

Soon after Sehun's discharge, the group announced "EXO PLAN [IT]" on the official Instagram handle, which fans guessed is a live broadcast which will have Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun participating in it. It's scheduled for today, September 21, at 8 PM KST, i.e 4:30 PM IST, to be streamed on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Weverse.

EXO's suspected comeback

Earlier this month, on the night of the Blood Moon Eclipse (September 8), EXO had put out a mysterious poster on social media with the caption "DECEMBER, 2025."

It sparked a frenzy amongst fans about their upcoming comeback album. The photo said, "When we become true one, a new world awakens." It also had an altered interpretation of a narration from EXO's Mama music video, which was released on April 7, 2012. "The day the Red Force is purified and the legends reunite into one perfect root, a new world shall open up," the text read.
