Lawyer: Anti-Corruption Court of Appeals overturns house arrest for  Samvel Karapetyan

ArmInfo.  The Anti-Corruption Court of Appeals has overturned  a previous ruling by Judge Sargis Petrosyan of the Armenian Anti-Corruption Court placing Samvel Karapetyan, Russian-Armenian businessman and head of the  Tashir Group of Companies, under house arrest. Lawyer Ruben Hakobyan   shared this information in an interview with journalists.

As the lawyer clarified, the judge invalidated two verdicts: the  initial decision  to launch criminal proceedings and the subsequent   ruling issued  based on the case. In this regard, the lawyer noted  that there is a possibility that Karapetyan could be placed under  arrest again, but emphasized that he cannot provide an exact forecast  until he has thoroughly reviewed the text of the court decision,  which consists of 8 pages.
