Alen Simonyan raises issue of Armenian PoWs with Bulgarian Ambassador

ArmInfo. On January 20, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia, Nikola Nikolov.

According to the NA press service, Alen Simonyan congratulating the  Ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that his tenure  would provide fresh momentum  to the cooperation between the two  countries. 

During the meeting, issues of bilateral relations, the  intensification of interparliamentary ties, and matters related to  regional development were discussed.  Alen Simonyan also drew the  Ambassador's attention to the ongoing issue of Armenian prisoners of  war and other persons illegally detained in Azerbaijan, as well as  the fate of those currently considered missing.
