UK willing to support democratic reforms in Armenia - Mark Clayton

ArmInfo.The United Kingdom is willing to support democratic reforms in Armenia, as stated by Mark Clayton, Deputy Director for Eastern Europe and  Central Asia at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and development Office, during a meeting with Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff to the Prime  Minister of Armenia.

According to the government press service, the parties discussed  several issues of mutual interest, including prospects for  strengthening cooperation in trade, economic and business relations,  as well as in education and science. The parties emphasized the  importance of elevating Armenia-United Kingdom relations to the level  of a strategic partnership.  During the meeting, Arayik  Harutyunyan  noted that in recent years, bilateral cooperation between Armenia and  the United Kingdom has been consistently developing and deepening in  all areas of mutual interest.

It is worth noting that, according to the RA Statistics Committee,  the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and the United Kingdom saw  a 4.1% increase of in January-November 2026, reaching $94.5 million.  Exports decreased by 66.7% to $775,800, while imports increased by  5.9% to $93.7 million during the same period.
