Pashinyan attends Board of Peace Charter signing ceremony
ArmInfo.On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, at the invitation of US President Donald Trump, participated in the signing ceremony of the Board of Peace Charter as a founding member, as reported by the PM's office. President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan were also in attendance.
The heads of delegations from Armenia, the United States, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Morocco, Pakistan, Qatar, Paraguay, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Israel participated in the signing ceremony.
During the ceremony, the representatives of the countries signed the Board of Peace Charter in the presence of the US President. In his speech, Donald Trump expressed gratitude for joining the initiative and for attending the ceremony.
The Board of Peace, as stated in the organization's charter, is an international organization seeking to promote stability, restore sound and legitimate governance, and ensure lasting peace in areas affected by conflict or threatened by conflict. The Board of Peace l carries out peacebuilding functions in accordance with international law and in the manner established by the Charter, including the development and dissemination of best practices applicable to all countries and communities seeking peace.
