Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Moldova meet in Strasbourg
ArmInfo. In Strasbourg, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with Moldova's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, at the beginning of the meeting, Mirzoyan congratulated his Moldovan counterpart on assuming the Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.
Mirzoyan and Popoi discussed opportunities for strengthening partnership between Armenia and Moldova and expanding the bilateral agenda. The parties mutually emphasized their interest in advancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest to Armenia and Moldova, including actively promoting economic cooperation. The interlocutors exchanged views on the further strengthening of democratic institutions and mechanisms for effectively countering hybrid threats, specifically focusing on the fight against disinformation.
The foreign ministers of Armenia and Moldova discussed cooperation within the European Union, emphasizing their willingness to share experiences in the European integration process. In this context, the upcoming EPS summit in Yerevan was highlighted. The meeting concluded with an exchange of view on regional and global developments.
