Mirzoyan and Kos discuss Armenia-EU strategic agenda
ArmInfo. A wide range of issues related to the Armenia- EU Strategic Agenda adopted last December, were discussed during a meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos in Brussels.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors discussed in detail the agenda items for the Armenia-EU summit, which will be held in Yerevan in May, as well as upcoming high-level visits. They emphasized their mutual willingness to implement initiatives aimed at achieving new tangible results.
The meeting also addressed the implementation of the "Resilience and Growth" program. The parties noted with satisfaction the EU Council's decision to provide Armenia with the second tranche of assistance under the European Peace Facility. Mirzoyan and Kos discussed the work being done to strengthen democratic reforms and enhance resilience. They also touched on programs aimed at enhancing regional transport infrastructure under the peace conditions established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as other steps to further institutionalize peace.
As ArmInfo previously reported, the EU Council has approved 20 million euros in assistance to Armenia through the European Peace Facility.
