Branding for a Listening Bar

Son is a restaurant and listening bar in Athens that blends vinyl culture with Mexican cuisine. The concept is rooted in the idea of family?quite literally, Son?and the beauty of generational continuity. At its heart is the spirit of family sharing, with a menu designed for communal experience. Our visual identity plays with contrast: the bold, disciplined lines of the blackletter logo pay homage to Mexican heritage, while spontaneous handwritten touches bring a sense of warmth and ease. Together with our "analog & comfy" color palette, ground the entire identity in warmth.

A central figure in our storytelling is the Teddy Bear, a recurring "hero" that pops up across various brand applications. This playful character provides an intentional twist, subverting the often-elitist aura of traditional listening bars to make the space feel accessible and genuinely friendly. The tagline we developed, 'Que Padre', acts as a linguistic bridge. It plays on the fatherly connection (padre meaning f
