Former head of one of Yerevan`s communities faces corruption charges
ArmInfo. The Prosecutor's Office is demanding the confiscation of four real estate and movable property and 325.5 million drams from Artavazd Sargsyan, former head of the Ajapnyak administrative district, in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the supervisory authority, the Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for review the Prosecutor General's Office's claim for the confiscation of illegally acquired property. Artavazd Sargsyan, who served as Deputy Head of the State Property Management Department under the Government in 2011-2012 and as head of the Ajapnyak administrative district from 2012 to 2018, as well as persons associated with him, is demanding the following property in favor of the Republic of Armenia:
- Two real estate properties;
- Two movable property properties;
- One participation right in a legal entity.
- 325 million 574 thousand drams - as the remainder of illegal funds.
