Armenian government budget tax revenue increased by 2.2% to AMD 511.3 billion in Jan-June 2016
He said the decline by 3 billion in Jan-Feb 2016 was offset by growth by 14 billion in March-June.
In his words, performance of the budget tax revenue was recorded at 98% in Jan-June 2016 against 96% in Jan-June 2015.
About 76.8% of the revenue was ensured by tax agencies, while 23.2% came as customs duties.
Customs receipts were 15.9% or AMD 22.3 billion less in Jan-June 2016 than at the same period a year before, and this was due to some objective factors.
As one of these factors, Alaverdyan pointed out decline in import that was mainly due to reduction in receipts from imported cars, which was caused by granting VAT exemption to importers of cars from the Eurasian Economic Union.
In Jan-June 2016, the number of the cars imported from third countries reduced by 3,736, compared with the same period a year before, and customs receipts from these imports by AMD 4.5 billion.
From the Eurasian Economic Union to the Armenian government budget came 3.3 billion drams less in Jan-June 2016 than one year earlier.
Instead, tax receipts grew 9.2% to AMD 33.2 billion.
In the government budget for 2016, deficit is projected at AMD 197 billion or 3.5% of GDP.
The budget spending is projected at AMD 1 trillion 373 billion and revenue at AMD 1 trillion 183 billion. --0----
