Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a new Tax Code and related amendments aimed at simplifying tax administration, reducing tax reporting by 30 percent, and revising key tax rates. The reform introduces progressive individual income tax rates, lowers VAT registration thresholds, and offers differentiated corporate tax rates to stimulate investment and support socially vulnerable groups.
