"Today, we were deeply saddened to learn that our great friend,
senior comrade and associate, member of the Council of the
International Lazarev Club, Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Vladimir Nikolaevich
Kazimirov, has passed away.
Vladimir Nikolaevich, working in various positions and always
honorably representing and defending the interests of his Motherland,
made a truly unique contribution to the search for a peaceful
resolution of conflicts in the former Soviet Caucasus, primarily
around Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh). Over the years, he acquired the
role of an indisputable "guru" expert and diplomat, whose opinion
could not be ignored by anyone. We are lucky to live and work with
and next to him, to adopt his knowledge and experience. We know how
painfully Kazimirov experienced everything that is happening today
before our eyes in this part of the Caucasus.
Dear Vladimir Nikolaevich was at the forefront of the creators and
ideologists of the Lazarev Club, actively participated in the work of
the Club Council, and made great efforts to strengthen
Russian-Armenian relations. Until his last days, Vladimir Nikolaevich
fought for the preservation of historical ties and sympathy between
the Russian and Armenian peoples. I have always believed that
political adventurers and the conjuncture of the times cannot destroy
the connection between our peoples. We will always remember you, dear
Vladimir Nikolaevich! We will not give up and will continue the work
we started. Blessed memory to you! We sincerely share the grief of
Vladimir Nikolaevich's family, friends and relatives. Please accept
our sincere sympathy and words of support in this difficult time. We
mourn with you."
