[Baseball] Kelly, Shaw, and Williams Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2019 Daktronics NAIA Baseball Scholar-Athletes on Wednesday, May 29. Evan Kelly, Austin Shaw, and Joe Williams of Asbury baseball were all selected to the distinguished list.
The Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athlete program recognizes excellence in the classroom for those NAIA student-athletes who are juniors or seniors with a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. The 2019 list features 439 student-athletes that achieved this accomplishment.
The awards are given annually to outstanding student-athletes in the various sports in which the program is active and their respective teams are eligible for NAIA postseason competition.
