Morland fires 10-under 61 to lead Hoag Classic

David Morland IV, a 50-year-old Canadian who made the field via an unusual qualifying event, shot a 10-under-par 61 on Friday to take the first-round lead at the Hoag Classic in Newport Beach, Calif.
